Home Missionaries

As many of you know Joel and I have been preaching in Washington for the last seven years. Over the years we have come to love this beautiful state very deeply. In a conversation six years ago with Bro. Clifford Barnett, now the Superintendent of Washington, a burden for Seattle was birthed. During that conversation we learned that in Seattle, a city of 500,000+ people, there was no Jesus name church to speak of. And until last fall when Kirt and Pam Denny were approved there was still no church. We have carried our burden since then not knowing exactly what God was doing. Were we just to pray for the city or was God actually sending us there? Well, the past year God has changed our ministry and more and more we have felt God leading us to pastor. We prayed and sought the Lord and felt like the time was at hand to step forward. Last night we met the Washington District board and they approved us to be Home Missionaries to the city of Seattle.
Our excitment at this point is almost uncontainable. I can hardly sleep at night because I lye there thinking. We have alot of preperation to do this summer. Our goal is to be in the city this fall or sooner. We welcome your prayers and support as we endeavor to reach this great city.

Idaho Youth Convention 2008

Idaho Youth Convention

This past week was the 3rd annual Idaho Youth Convention. Although we were small in number we felt the presence of God in very big way. Tim Whiseant was the speaker and preached two very spectacular messages. We had a great time fellowshiping with Tim and Andrea and friends in the Idaho district. We have really come to love this district. When you think of us, please pray for Idaho. There are only about 15 churches in the whole state of Idaho. This state is ripe for revival and is in a desperate need for laborers.

Alyssa especially had a great time this week. She spent the entire time with her "boyfriends", (yes more than one) two brothers named Garrett and Gage. She goes back and forth between the two of them.

Joel preached an incredible message tonight at church. He preached about how the saints are joint heirs with Jesus Christ and if he has dominion over creation then we to have power over the earth. This why Joshua was able to command the sun to stand still. So if we have this power does that not give us power over sickness and disease also. He really challenged us to stretch our faith to see more of the miraculous. He had the chrurch pray that in the seven days we would see a miracle. His message has really stirred me, I want to the miraculous in my own life. So I am on the look out for a miracle. I'm expecting to see one!!!

By the way, I was able to take my camera back and get a new one. Yea!! So here are some pictures from youth convention. A few are of the services and the rest are at Boondocks Fun Center.

I wish you all a blessed miraculous week.
